** Current Events **

New Stretcher

The replacement bracket for Plexi-shield has been fitted to the stretcher. The protective cloth bag has been made. Thanks to Mark Forsyth's better half for making a custom cover for the shield. We will need to practice with this unit in the field to work out the handling problems.

The stretcher is ready for patient packaging, for low angle rope assistance, and for ATV wheel operation with the plexi-shield in place. This an impressive unit, and will greatly improve our response abilities.

Flat Tubular Strapping

Randy Mitchell has ordered a roll of the flat tubular strapping that we used to tie Pat to the stretcher on our last exercise.  The mambers have the opportunity to purchase a 30 foot length for themselves.  Randy will be away so Libby McDowell will be bringing it to the meeting on Tuesday. So if anyone wants it, they will need to pay Libby on Tuesday.

The cost is $12.00 even for the 30 foot length.

PRSAR Website

Work still continues on building our website. It goes very slowly. It requires a lot of content and building. We have several photos to be put on the photos page. Please pass any photos you have of PRSAR members training, and StraitTalk Computing will scan them, then return them.

When we have a working site that wil still be 'under construction', we will publish the link.

Rope Team Training on Van Is.

Al Jones from Vancouver Island emailed me with information about a Rope Training weekend coming up in June. The training session is on the weekend of June 14 to 16. This basic session is geared to beginners, and learning Rope Team members. There will also be learning Rope Team Leaders.

Because of the short notice, travel funding and it's paperwork cannot get done. This means it is a user costs self-payment plan. Anyone interested in going, contact Doug Logan at 604-485-4834, A.S.A.P.
